We are a team of two young women comprised of a native Finnish speaker-the teacher, and a native English speaker-the student. Together we collaborate and create products to preserve the Finnish language & culture. We are passionate about keeping Finnish heritage alive and encouraging both young and old to embrace their roots.
Finnsight’s laboratory is located in Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula, home to many Finns. We officially went into business in March, 2010, but started creating our product line in 2009.
Anna is originally from Kangasala, Finland and has been in the United States for a number of years. She has a lot of experience teaching Finnish language classes at the university level and in the community.
Meg is originally from Houghton, Michigan and has been a Finnish student for four years. She currently works full time as a regional planner but enjoys having Finnsight as a creative outlet.
